I was going to do something like this for the school Halloween festival, but have the “lava” spewing from a pumpkin. Doing a test run with a saturated potassium solution and 10% hydrogen peroxide solution, the reaction was so explosive that it shot the foam almost 4 feet. it was a great effect, but too much clean up.
