Dumping Liberalism is the cultural equivalent of throwing pearls before swine.

Those who dump Liberalism dump the Enlightenment, dump Democracy, dump Liberty, dump Human Rights, dump the Emancipation Proclamation, dump Child Labor laws, dump Women’s Suffrage, dump Anti-Trust laws, dump Civil Rights.

In effect, they dump the all human progress since the dawn of time. The stupidity, i.e., the willful ignorance, of American voters is second to none.

Amazing how a word can freak so many people out and how a word can come to mean so much that it really doesn’t mean. how people can lump so many nebulous ideas and concepts into one word making it meaningless.Might as well be against “blue” or table.

We NEED differences of opinion. We NEED other ways of thought. Don’t try to give me any “The Truth Hurts, Don’t It” nonsense. There are many problems with the ultra-liberal movement, just like there is with the neocon, teabagger movement. The Democrat Party failed this election, not liberalism and not the voters. Well, the ones who bothered to show up. The Democrat Party’s weakness is at fault, not the message.

I vote to reinstate Michael-wme also, despite the fact that I don’t actually remember anything he said. There’s no point in having a place to waste your time spouting off if it’s limited to those who haven’t offended anyone. If I want to ignore someone I don’t consider worth reading, simply skipping over it works quite adequately.

Amen, Lisa!-Rush Limbaugh gave the factual history of Liberalism’s bully tactics in Congress since the 1950s and in the radio/TV media for untold decades…..in his excellent article in the 11/4/15 NROnline website. -It is long overdue for conservatives to agree and vote to disagree with the latest in Liberalism’s insane legislation that destroys the best human experiment in governing in the world….a Republic, with inalienable (by bad laws, by bad executive orders, by bad judges/courts) rights belonging to the citizens. The USA was designed to be governed by the CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED. period. case closed. Good day on Tuesday. Voters elected a Republican Governor in Kentucky(the second in 44 years) by 9 points(the polls had him behind by 5). In Virginia, the GOP held the line in the state Senate against a multi-million dollar assault by Big Confiscation and may have even gained a seat. Houston citizens overwhelmingly rejected the men-in-the-little-girls-room ordinance, and even San Francisco got into the act, sending Sanctuary Sheriff packing.Nice warm up.

Lisa and her lemmings forget that LIBERALS started, fought, and won the American War of Independence! Consider, also, that most human progress was started by people who were not satisfied with the status quo!

Why doesn’t he just make a new account with a new name? I think that’s what most of the banned users end up doing, isnt’ it? But yeah. I’ll vote for his reinstatement. He wasn’t a bad sort at all.

In the 21st century, “Liberal” does not mean the same as it did when Jesus, the Son of God, gave believers liberty from sin and its consequence of eternal death! It doesn’t mean what our Founders did in 1787 AD….established a nation of Liberty, true liberty.-The self-named “liberal” or “progressive” of modern times stole good names and terms and used them to be labels for evil, for sin, for oppression: political liberalism now means to liberate from rules and standards of good; “gay” used to mean a good, happy feeling when things went well for a person….now it is used as a mask for abominal sins of homosexuality. (which used to be a mental illness needing treatment).-“Gender” used to mean were you born male or female; now Satan has invented and brainwashed sinners into claiming that another mental illness is “normal” and claiming that the entire society must bow the knee and never tell anyone the Bible truth that it is a sin…today…tomorrow…and always.Our children and grandchildren face an educational system forcing these false and ungodly practices on One Size Fits All generations….taught to think and act sinfully and feel “superior” to anyone who believes God and His Bible.-That is what today’s “liberal” is…..100% Libertine.

@eugene57….When God (always spelled with a capital “G”)gave Man free will to think and form opinions, God also gave responsibility for seeking the Truth before forming opinions, and God also gave accountability to those who don’t care about what is true and what is false, and those who reject God’s revealed and written Truth Standards.-God gives forgiveness for confessed sins that violate God’s Law which teaches truth from falsehood, when the sinner (wrong thinking person) accepts God’s Truth and puts 100% Faith in the one and only Saviour, the Son of God who died and was buried and resurrected to live forever, to pay for our sins and errors. God also gives the believer/receiver of Jesus as Lord and Master the promise of eternal life in God’s eternal kingdom in God’s universe on an earth God promises will be in existence forever.-Think Long Term and Think how we humans are without the Power to “save” ourselves! Now that Kentucky has gone for a Republican governor, they have go from being the most successful in getting folks signed up for health care, to the one having the most losing health care. Yep, and everyone knows everyone in Kentucky goes to Churchill Downs for the derby and has never lost a job to mechanization in mining or Koch-like “improvements”.

She can only dream it. Given the whiney performance of the GOP presidential posers and the kangaroo court antics of the Benghazi hearings the GOP has all but gift wrapped the election for Clinton. And that is a shame.

Interesting cartoon in that it doesn’t state that dumping liberalism is either a good thing or a bad thing. Without knowing the artist’s history, one could easily argue that the statement is negative.

It’s progressiveness that has bankrupted our economy, lost the work on drugs, lost the war on poverty, destroyed ethical behavior, destroyed family values (hello black lives matter?) and this list is just starting. About the only valuable ongoing benefits are a cleaner environment, state and national parks, anti-discrimination laws for minorities and women and what used to be a 40 hour work week.

@balto billNo the right hasn’t moved. The Bible used to be the center of our values in this country. When the country discarded those values in the 60’s it started moving so far left that now those values are considered ‘right." And conservatives who were once to the right of the Bible are now considered “extremists.” No the conservative people of this country haven’t moved a whit. It’s the progressives that have swung this country away from the traditional values that made our country the envy of the world. That people still die trying to get here is just a poor commentary on how bad it is elsewhere.

It was “liberals” fed up with monarchy and rule by the few, who wrote the Declaration of Independence, and Constitution.

Liberalism is a word, not the name of any political party in the USA. .It simply means a belief in human liberty – that is, in freedom. Like the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, etc.

(Liberal is also an opposite of stingy, but that’s another story.)

George Washington fought for liberty and called himself a Liberal (though he didn’t believe in political parties at all.).Now think:Wouldn’t you cheer to hear that liberals had overthrown the Ayatollahs in Iran?Wouldn’t you applaud if Putin were tossed out by Russian liberals?Wouldn’t you be relieved if a liberal movement were to kick out Castroism in Cuba?Wouldn’t you like to see liberals in China dump Communist Party rule?.The opposite of freedom/liberty is oppression. .Let’s continue to believe in human freedom/liberty, not dump it out.
