I actually watched most of the first “debate”, and some of the second. I won’t watch a single second of any more of those infuriating circuses. I will be looking to see what the ratings are. I’m hoping they’ll be dismal.
Hillary fielded eleven hours of softball questions from those timid Republicans. If only the GOP would use the amazing resources that conservative commenters are privy to! They have CONCLUSIVE PROOF of all kinds of awful things, and I’m sure the GOP would love to use any one of them against her, if only they didn’t have such gosh-darned high ethical standards.
Maybe the gloves will come off in the tenth hearing, or the eleventh.
It’s sad that our political system has become so divisive. There are people who have an unarguable belief in a political ideology and will not lose faith when ‘proof’, ‘evidence’, and ‘fact” run counter to their philosophy. And there are those who dismiss the parables, and immeasurable, feelings or intuitions and insist on ’proof’, ‘evidence’, and ‘fact” before forming an opinion. To get along we must accept that there are others would do not see things as we do and history tells us that compromises will work better than further polarization. Ideally a superposition of these different perspectives would make us stronger and let us solve problems faster to everyone’s satisfaction. If we can evolve into a proportional governing system, rather tahn a “winner” take all, we could stop the gridlock and start taking care of either instead of attacking each other and giving our enemies (internal and external) a good laugh,

The Reoublican candidates can’t have a “debate” where they’re asked real questions! That would make them look bad.

“Truth has nothing to do with ‘proof’, ‘evidence’, or ‘facts’.”.Now, there’s a standard Republican viewpoint.

Smasher; it will be easy to refute repub. policy when 89 seconds of a 90 second statement is not in the mode of “your moma so fat …”

That’s all trolls really care about – getting people riled up so their cognitive faculties shut down like the trolls’. Fortunately, it never works.
