What I’d like to know is what preceded this show of force and where it went from there. Teachers and classrooms require discipline and order for there to be learning. Students taking over the classroom, will result in chaos and the teacher might as well give up. It is possible force was excessive, but not necessarily. It might have been exactly what was needed.

too much by the cop. Unfortunatly, this will somehow excuse the obnoxious, disrespectful student. I’d be pretty pissed if she was in one of my kids class taking up space while other students and teachers had to deal with her BS.

WTF are black people dogs? I see where your coming from. I get it your white and you don’t understand because you’ve never been targeted by police because of your color. Your ignorance shines. Police are not overseers they are officers. You would love it if black said Yes Masa when involved with police wouldn’t you. Must be nice to be white.

Again, Hiram was responding to a poster who made no mention of the actual comic, but to a response about how blacks should be with police in general. And it is a racial incident because white kids in the same situation would not be treated the same way. I don’t understand why no one gets it or maybe I do.

If anyone that posts here actually believe that white people are treated the same as blacks, hispanics, and other minority groups then you are clearly blind to reality.

While I didn’t see all of the video, we don’t know the whole situation. In America both parties are innocent until proven guilty. Instead of taking sides and finding facts to support one side or the other we should find the facts and then let the law decide who was at fault; not the court of public opinion.

Both sides acting stupid, arrogance and agression, trumping Trump’s attitude?

In my day, way back when, this would have been handled by a teacher dragging the student’s desk, with the kid in it, out the door into the hallway and simply shutting the door.

This is exactly why I would not consider being a teacher. If you offered me $500,000.00 a year to teach I’d say HELL NO!! When I was a kid if I acted like this in school whatever punishment the school dished out I would get it twice as bad when I got home. As a comedian said, today if kids get in trouble at school they call their parents but when we were young if you got in trouble at school you hoped your parents did not find out.

It could have been handled better but there are plenty of other videos showing how aggressive students have attacked officers in schools. we have a one sided video culture that only shows part of the story so people have been jumping to conclusions about so many things with an incomplete picture of events far too often. The down side to this is now the students see that if you resist somebody’s going to get fired and it becomes a game or challenge to see who can get the most cred by creating havoc for teachers and resource officers.

Ahem. Latest news is:1. She has a broken arm, contusions, and scrapes. So “it looks worse than it is” argument does not fly. 2. Multiple students in the room say she kept quiet, so she was not, as some people have ludicrously claimed, “attacking the cop.” 3. She was recently orphaned. She’s now in a foster home. Think this might have made her a little more sensitive? And even if every single part of his narrative were true — and it is looking like none of it is — he went way over the top, using excessive force, and this is not even debatable.

If the school you send your kids to has cops in the hallways, move.
