There are some who believe that FDR’s major motivation for the New Deal was prevention of an armed revolution. The CIA, which is now based in the ironically named George Bush Center For Intelligence, was created in 1947 by HST but probably could be called the bastard child of the OSS, created by FDR in 1942. If you were referring to Jimmy Carter, I expect history will be much kinder to him than the press and public were after he lost to the man who played the role of president. He did not entangle the US in being the war monger of the world and did not declare war on the poor and working class at home. He unjustly received much of the blame for the economy, which should have been blamed on the Republican appointed Federal Reserve Board and the energy crisis, which should have been blamed on corporations. No former president even comes close to approaching his stellar record as an ex-president.
So, Ted, is it true that if you go all the way to the left end of the lunatic fringe, you can actually touch Ramirez and McCoy’s end coming around the other way?
I think Ted is saying more than we think he is..Obama didn’t turn out as most of America thought he would, and perhaps our “outsiders” will not turn out as well as we hope they will.

Quick – name the last president that wasn’t hated by at least half the country. I’m thinking maybe Washington.

If this country can elect Reagan, it can certainly elect Carson— without even straining.
