Truth be told, I think this storyline is beautiful and appropriate. You see, in the past, Gil generated money by holding wrestling events. There was no such event this year, so if he could generate some interest in a TV show, he’d earn WAAAY more in advertising dollars. This is must see TV. He’s providing the content, so he’s in on it.
