Sixty-five degrees is lovely in July, but too danged cold in October.Thousands of double blind studies have proven that the placebo effect is real, and sometimes more effective than reality.

Things like that are remembered by lots of children when they have to take care of old parents.

In my house, it’s the exact opposite. As soon as we start getting a serious nip in the air, mom sets the heater to “blast furnace”. The constant transition between hot inside & cold outside usually leaves me sick for a week or two.

I am the opposite. I always complain that it’s too hot.
