Yegads, what are we going to do? An entity that feasts on the negative thoughts of others. I see a monster in the making.

Has someone been reading the Laurell K. Hamilton series about Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter, whose title character can feed on strong emotions?

Did I just see Danae actually learn something?

How big will it become before Danae learns something?

OK; that’s scary.

Ekert could get fat just following Danae around on a bad day…

The question is: will Ekert become what he (?) eats, or does the bad mood just disappear?

ArthurAllen thanks for the zazzle tip the other day. Unfortunately zazzle doesn’t apply to every strip on the site. Here’s one of my own: If you plug in the right URL (like http://www.gocomics.com/calvinandhobbes/1993/06/27/) you can read really old comics strips for free without being a premium member. Hopefully Gocomics doesn’t catch on.

Wiley seems to have given us all thought for food. Once Danae’s angry thought were consumed, she wasn’t angry any more. Will she stay mellow, or quickly find something else to get angry about? And how big will the ekert get?

Anger is spontaneous generally, provoked or unprovoked. I think Ekert is going to get much larger. Happy 6th of July!

I don’t think anyone has mentioned this, surprisingly, but unless it’s the angle in which Wiley drew the cartoon, Ekert/Heffalump is already getting bigger!

Ekert, the ultimate solution to irksome comments and ridiculous commentators. Let him eat your fumes before you post.

At first, I was finding this arc tedious, but I am SO hooked on it now! Cain’t WAIT to read the rest of this week’s comics!

What an imagination! Wonder how big Ekert will get.

Maybe Ekert just absorbs anger to keep it from running loose in the world. If so, I hope it can eat up the spuking fammer I just flagged!

Fed by negative thought, reactions, and/or ideas. While all the while having nothing negative to say. Why does it look like an Elephant?

i want to know too….. how big will ekert grow?….what about the ‘processed’ part..and is it safe? or ‘nuclear’…so many questions…….

I hoped to find some hidden meaning, however, Wiley is too clever. I could not find a coherent anagram for “The Ekert” or just “Ekert.” Good job there.

With all of the anger in this world, the Ekert should grow beyond all other entities combined. Just the hate toward our president evidenced here would eclipse Go Comics.

cdward picked up on my thought exactly. but if the Eckert eats Danae’s bad moods and she turns mellow–what will happen to this segment of the strip? i shudder to think of it.

Let me think: an elephant who would the be symbol of what party who has been trapped in a shed of two years and who comes out pretending to be kind and innocent but stirs up evil thoughts and feeds on them getting bigger and bigger. I HOPE this is mythology, but it looks more like a cautionary tale. Now all we need is a donkey who’s been neutered to stand by and let it trample him.

I think this little elephant eats the bad thoughts of others which then allows them to dwell on good thoughts…….

Tribbles multiplied when they ate too much. Looks like E-kert will just keep getting bigger and bigger. It could add up to the same.
