I got distracted in the first panel… Remember the “Orange Julius” restaurants? They were in some malls here in NJ and had the best chili dogs!!!

I got a good chuckle out of “pastry ballistics”. Brings back memories of the Three Stooges, the Marx Brothers, and the hilarious pie fight in The Great Race.

True story: my daughter once made muffins, they came out rock hard. I loaded my slingshot with one and had the kids come out to the backyard to see me scare a squirrel with it. As I launched the muffin, it proceeded to disintegrate mid air, raining muffin bits around the squirrel. The squirrel then proceeded to eat the bits of muffin. Bucky is 100% correct, you can’t hit a squirrel with a muffin.

Pinkish’s comment in panel 5 is mine about the news. I find that most news items raise more questions than information they provide. And you never find a follow up article with what really happened or why.

I had a neighbor who would shoot pebbles with his slingshot at squirrels but then later put out food for them. But in all fairness he was mad because they were eating the birdfood.

If they are my wife’s home made muffins, they are very similar to stones.
