Not familiar with crackling antlers during a mating joust. Loud cracks, crashes, scrapes, even reports that sound like gunshots, but not familiar with a crackle. Interesting to imagine what that would sound like.
The first panel is VERY annoying, because it’s the damn FEMALES who prompt the males to behave that way in the first place by picking the one who comes out on top. Women!
