McCarthy should be charged as a traitor. His job is not to assure a Republican victory, it is to run the country for the good of the people. Already nine inquiries into Benghazi and this latest political ploy at a needless cost of millions of the people’s money is a travesty. The attorney general should be holding an investigation into Republican politics for their betrayal of the people.

McCarthy can’t even form a coherent sentence. Yet he’s the best the GOP has. It’s really pitiful who can get elected when they’ve got an® next to their name. Roger Ailes has a lot to answer for.
Roger Ailes will probably answer for nothing. Whether it is McCarthy or another bagger doofus, it will be someone from that wing of the party, increasing the chances that Pelosi or another Dem will be speaker in 2017. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
I don’t know that Congress will shift left any time soon. Not only because of successful gerrymandering, but from the fact that the low approval rating of Congress is based on a sentiment akin to: “I hate everybody there, except my own guy.” They’ll vote their own fraction of the problem back in and continue grumping that everybody else in the place is terrible.
