I went to The Walking Store to buy shoes. I asked to see a nice pair or sandals to walk in. The salesman actually got angry at me, he said I needed REAL. “Walking” shoes, and showed me very expensive athletic shoes. I guess I should have said I wanted "meandering " shoes! Because that’s what I really wanted! I wanted to “go for walks”, not go on walking marathons!

Good, well fitting shoes can and do make a huge difference. I never scrimp on shoes and when possible I purchase shoes that are made in the USA…
