How come they look like kids with their helmets off, but in game action they look like ripped NFL players?.Sorry, my wife’s a teacher at the local HS. I know better.

“and speaking of Oakwood, there’s nothing I like better during the game than to down a bottle of Jack Daniels Whiskey, aged in fine handcrafted oak barrels for that smooth taste.”

I’m pleased to see that Lobster Boy made the team as the kicker. It seems the Valley Conference, in a cost cutting measure, started using the new Slimline footballs this year,

Oakwood is running over Milford using the hidden ball trick, or at least half the ball is hidden in P2.

Marty, sitting high in P3. Oh and the booth is pretty far up, too.

P1 kind of reminds me of my first high school game. We were a new school and in our very first home game our kicker showed up on acid and decided to kick the opening kickoff straight into the bleachers. Dangerously close to 50 years later this is still one of the programs few highlights as they have never had a State Championship in football.

Lobster Boy is also trying to help out on the tackle in P2 while kicking off in P1. #GottaBeTru(e).

When do we meet Captain Julius Funchess? These Darwin boys need to go bananas, stop monkeying around, swing into the Oakwood backfield and evolve into the leaders this team needs. HRRAAACCCKKKK!

I realize time is short and all, what with trying to get the season started before October, but couldn’t we at least have had three panels where they recognize last season’s accomplishment by unveiling the State Champion Banner at the home opener?

Will Holly Dobbs’s inspiring halftime pep talk turn things around for Milford? That would certainly be the highlight of the reality show.

In all reality, Holly dresses as Knute Rockne and gives some of his pep talks at halftime rallying the team to a win .

At least the Milford defender wasn’t fooled by the invisible ball in P2

It’s going to be a long season if Milford can’t stop the run. They’ll have to try to pile up the points on offense to have a chance. And speaking of chance, how about taking a chance on today’s Mopped Up Thorp?

Sort of off-topic, but how many years before Darby’s toddler (Jaxon) plays on a Thorp team?
