Wasn’t exactly sure what ED is, so I had to look it up. Makes me glad that at my age it was something of which I was not yet aware.

I hated those things and substituted a girl’s seat at an angle so I was leaning against it more than sitting on it. Far more comfortable and no long term problems.

So that’s why most of the cyclists around here don’t stop for red lights or stop signs. They must be hurrying to get off of their bike seats.

Get one of those split types. I did years ago and they ride a lot easier. No pressure on the important bits.

Except for Agewalker, the comments today show a near total lack of understanding of the cycling world of today. Wal-Mart? Really? You get what you pay for. I’m 66, still can ride 25 – 50 miles per ride and can do that “other” thing, too. It’s a poor musician who blames his instrument . . .

Oh, ya. My bike came from a bicycle dealer! Didn’t cost an arm and a leg, has both a split seat and a seatpost shock and skinny tires. Trek

Once again, it would seem that we guys have, on the whole, only one major thing on our minds. Cycling would come a lot lower in our thoughts. And I like cycling!

AgewalkerA triathlete said “Buy from a good cycle shop and get the best you can afford.” Good means where the competitors go for whatever they compete in; triathletes’ bikes are for roads and thus good also for basic transportation. Mountain and track varieties are another matter.
