Walt is STILL Alive – his longevity is now bordering beyond the believable…he can’t live forever, can he! Time to face the facts about having a comic where people age close to real time!
I guess the daily strips skipped over the extra Sunday part of Nina and Skeezix meeting the bookie after failing to buy a new gas range. And is old aged Walt Wallet going bald or something?
@JanCinLVLiked the Curmudgeon’s account of the vast over step of Maryland government. I mean really you have to spend hundreds of dollars for something you can do yourself in an hour, just to disconnect and reconnect gas lines.
Interesting that Skeezix was relaxing and happily reading the newspaper before there was a knock on the door. Then when he saw that it that it was Uncle Walt and Gertie at the door, he went into complaining mode. One suspects that’s why the salesman who sold him the stove gave him so much grief. It was mutual!
There are still two people on earth who were born in 1899. The oldest one, Susanna Mushatt Jones, just made the news this week when she revealed that she eats bacon every day.
So Walt is still a little plausible, but time is running out, and I wish the last two or three years had been more devoted to him.
I’m more disturbed at how much Gertie has suddenly changed. I would not have recognized her if she had not been with Walt
