McKinley was the first “corporate bought” President. His name should not be on anything.

He wasn’t dead when they named it. He was a presidential candidate and this was an attempt to hype him up. That’s a proud tradition, too.

Doesn’t matter about the renaming, the moronic far-right extremists who control the textbooks will surely continue to call it Mt. McKinley right after the section about “slaves never had it so good”

Somehow the conservatives didn’t raise a fuss when the name of perhaps our greatest president, George Washington, was stripped from the Washington National Airport, and replaced with that of a president who ran up huge debts, illegally sold weapons to our enemies, gave illegal support to terrorists in Central America, permanently damaged the middle class, and (perhaps most ironically) fired ten thousand air traffic controllers.
