We bought two rolls of stamps just before forever stamps came out, and right before I decided to do all banking online. As a result I have a huge roll of stamps left and if I ever (infrequently) need to use snail mail, I have to put FIVE two cent stamps on with the bigger one. Bad move on our part.

I’m delighted to support the USPS, and don’t pay on line. Just remember some stupid members of congress tried to privatize the postal service and do away with it altogether. Guess they were too stupid to read about the provision for a USPS. The USPS was self sustaining until congress managed to raid (more than once) their coffers, and also sell off some of their small package delivery options. Guess who was President when that was going on! 8-( Ok, mini-rant over…

I used to buy stamps in rolls of 100. Now, I buy books of 20 Forever stamps just before each price increase. The number of stamps I use has dropped to a trickle. 2 books of 20 will last me over a year. Incoming mail is nearly all junk.
