Ted Rall for August 28, 2015
Transcript:
Tale of the Tape Man 1: Someone at the LAPD gave that sketchy audiotape to someone at the LA Times to get you fired-who? Man 2: We know it wasn't given to anyone on the editorial board... we're pretty sure it wasn't Paul Pringle, the credulous "investigative reporter" or Nick Goldberg, the out-of-the-loop editorial page editor. Man 1: There's no reason so suspect Davan Maharaja, the editor. That points to Austin Beutner, the publisher. Man 2: If it's him, did he get it from the LAPD, or the LAPPL union? Did he know it wasn't authenticated? Man 1: If only there were an organization that investigated questions like this... Man 2: We could print it! A "newspaper" if you will!

I appreciate this series very much, if also very sorry for its cause. Thanks for attempting to shine the light on abuse of power. Hoping that things somehow work out to your advantage.

Me too. More truth in the “funnies” than in the press.
