FRANCE:On the morning of 7 January 2015 at about 11:30 local time, two brothers, Saïd and Chérif Kouachi, forced their way into the offices of the French satirical weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris. Armed with assault rifles and other weapons, they killed 11 people and injured 11 others in the building. After leaving, they killed a French National Police officer outside the building. The gunmen identified themselves as belonging to the Islamist terrorist group Al-Qaeda’s branch in Yemen, who took responsibility for the attack. Several related attacks followed in the Île-de-France region, where a further five were killed and 11 wounded.
Dramatic as some murders are, they are outliers, and they do not mask the problem of America having the highest per capita gun violence among the developed nations. It is not a simple problem that can be solved by flip-flopping to the other party, at the next election, in our binary political system. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2012/12/14/chart-the-u-s-has-far-more-gun-related-killings-than-any-other-developed-country/ Solving the problem is not as simple as arming or disarming everyone or writing yet another law in the heat of the moment. Instead it requires the politicians stop campaigning for their next reelection and WORK TOGETHER to come up a practical, effective solution that not only makes America safer but does not take away any more of people’s rights.

It may have started here, but it’s spreading out to other lands, right behind our other exports, violent movies and video games.

And anyway, what about cancer, huh? Huh? Huh? If you hate guns, you must love cancer!
It’s not easy to be as irrelevant as conservative concern trolls.
