It’s a correction that was long on arriving. The market was valued higher than the companies and that is not good. Everybody sees a down turn as bad but it is still 10,000 points higher than it was 6-7 years ago.
Yes, it is kind of tough on us retired folks. We can’t exactly go back to our old jobs and make it up. To make things worse the conservative candidates want to tax social security so it doesn’t have to pay out as much in pensions and of course they want to cut Medicare funding too.

Look on the bright side: the stocks portion of your 401(k) doubled under Obama, so a small correction is affordable.
