With the exception of a few “theological terms outside a theological context” (as an old professor categorized profanity as distinct from scatology or obscenity), the language was generally “Sunday School”. The situations, plot lines, and often costumes (or lack thereof) was what brought on the code. Realism is not dependent on oral diarrhea.
