Like “Communism”, democracy doesn’t function when a group grows too large, and a few become “more equal than others”.- economically Capitalism and Communism both fail, for the same reason.
Republic, and a properly regulated mix of “socialist” and “Capitalist” economics does work best; it’s called balance.
The Greeks may have initiated this mess but the Germans and French have made billions (yes, billions) off the Greeks and rest of Europe as a result. Scheuble and Merkel are betraying their Teutonic roots by the way they’ve beaten the Greeks to a point where they will never recover on their own without the debt relief that the IMF is calling for.
