    JanBicIf a generation too early (the red saltire was early 1800s) and the “Second War of American Independence” (as many British historians call the War of 1812) had its action mainly in the Washington/Baltimore area and on the high seas.

    BobThe Battle of New Orleans doesn’t really count since it took place after the war (but no one on either side knew about it)..TREEINTHEWINDCorn, oats, rye, wheat are all grass; the rest are separate with the beans being legumes, and the other two gourds.
