Oh great, I just made my own pun! A meter person (proper term) reads your electric, gas, water, and meter.

For the non american(like me) a meter maid is a female police officer who check the timemeter and issue ticket to parking offenders.

The french used to called them lark(alouettess). In eastern Canada they are the green (or grimm) people. Some called them the bettles because they are dress in green with fluo yellow strips and drive fire red cars

Meter maid (or man) is far more dangerous. Few things more irrational than someone who gets a fine for what THEY consider to be a “trivial” offense.

First panel shows both with coffee cups and donuts. Last panel, lady on right still eating donut but coffee cup has disappeared. Think maybe she ate it by mistake?

Yep; taking away something he loves to make herself feel better. Now we knows she’s made the transition from girlfriend, to fiance, to wife.

I’ve seen a meter maid almost get plowed down by a car when she was crossing the street. I’ve also seen them get yelled at and verbally confronted by angry meter violators. I’m not sure if that job is any healthier (physically or mentally) than what he’s currently doing. Protecting and serving is often a thankless job, I would imagine.

Don’t know about “Spongebath” either but Phil was just out of surgery and couldn’t do the moving himself.

Actually it was “we got Phil all moved in” which is a short way of saying that not only Phil moved in but that they settled and unpacked all of his stuff. Take you sexism elsewhere, please.
