when i slice, it’s usually because i’ve messed up the tempo of my swing and am dragging the club through the ball.

She is running the company!!!! You need a C.E.O. to pass the buck when she makes a mistake and wastes millions of dollars and forces thousands out of work. Or maybe the C.E.O. makes the mistakes and is actually running the company. You decide.

or brownies, or pie! That said a good executive assistant is a tremendous asset to a company, just not for the reasons in the comic at all.

It’s fine to have an executive assistant to do everything for you but you still need a wife to tell you what to do.

A man with an executive assistant like that usually keeps a quiet woman at home to play 50’s housewife/mother. And then he keeps a couple 20something year old mistresses on the side for the eye candy.

Hey LameRandomNames. I doubt very much someone is putting a gun to your head and making you read this strip. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. Don’t read and then complain because it offends your particular sensibilities.

Plus, you really must not get humor. This is not at all a slap at “fat cat CEO” types. It is simply painting a picture of the assistant that I’m sure anyone in a management position would like to have. So just chill and enjoy the humor. (Or take your complaining to Mallard Fillmore because he never criticizes the right..)

As a capable admin asst, I resemble this strip! It wasn’t a slam against the exec, it was praise of good assistants. so there!

Lefties are hypocrites, you mean you’d be ‘LOL’ing if it was a strong satire at the Unions or Obama?

Both sides need to get a grip and let Wiley do his job.

Yeah, it’s impossible that he is taking a break from his100+ hour week. It’s impossible that he gets the little things done by an assistant because he needs his talents for turning the company 180 degrees like he has for three other giants. Yup, it’s impossible that he is worth every million they pay him. Now go back to stealing your bosses hard earned dollar as you post to comics while you “earn” an hourly wage. Heaven forbid you weren’t with your family on weekends, or nights, or afternoons, or birthdays, or holidays. Your boss was working.

I know her! She works for me, and I admit I would be lost without her. I would prefer to lose my right arm then her. I happen to have the world of respect for her, and she never hesitates to “correct” me, when required. My wife acknowledges my dependency and ensures I reward her accordingly.

My hat is off to EA’s everywhere.

@Wiley–you might as well give it a rest. No matter what you draw, some commenters will turn it into a political rant. It’s because they love you for giving them the opportunity to “share” their opinions.

Just a golf gag… Wiley, you can’t even see it then. Then what is the golf humor? He is golfing in the house? He is using a Nike ball? He is turned the wrong way for a slice? Was the SEC calling to check this average Joe’s handicap?

    LOL?

Why would any CEO need a personal assistant to help run a company? The company only has millions of employees. He gets millions - he should be able to just snap his fingers and turn the company around! Must be a lazy golfing slacker.

The President - what does he need secret service and 50 or so czars for? The country is only 300 million people. Must be a lazy golfing slacker. He has only golfed 32 times already…

Replace that portrait with a Presidential seal. Then maybe you will realize that it’s not just a golf gag.

You are a great comic writer, but ease up on the propaganda.

Au Contraire, for the EA to be perfect she should have corrected his golf swing first! That is what he finds most interesting, then the other “stuff” that he has to deal with. I know this because I was the perfect EA in a past life. From the look on his face his concern is the swing…….

    Great strip Wiley, thanks.

Wiley, GREAT cartoon! apologies for following political remark: yeah stebon, Bush left the country is such good shape and look how quickly Obama has trashed it… LOL. back on subject, what i know about golf is zilch, but does he swing club from the right to the left? if so, that must be one h e double toothpicks of a slice! and that must be a nice office if it’s big enough to practice a full swing!
