Woman: If I try to turn on the TV, the cable turns off. If I turn on the cable, the tv stays off. I hate this stupid remote. Man: It's a poor workman who blames his tools. Woman: What did you say? Man: I said "that is one stupid remote."

My mother would look at what button she pushed but the remote was pointed at the ceiling and she would get annoyed:>)

I have a remote for the tv & cable combined also a remote for the tv alone. when the tv doesn’t come on I just use the tv remote to resolve the problem.
