Radish, 46 people were killed and the S. Korean President has very deftly avoided any direct acts leading to war. If there wasn’t good evidence supporting N. Korea’s complicity, China would be verbally supporting them instead of resorting to pained silence.
Clark,
Take a look at the history. We did invade N. Korea, after they invaded the South. We were pushed out by China’s entry into the war. As long as China supports Kim he will remain in power. At least, while his health holds out.
I thought it was guys like KJI that were the reason we have black ops. Pretty sure we’ve got a couple guys talented enough to push his brains out of his skull with a bullet.
The incident occurred in March, we’re just now getting “excited” about it, and the South isn’t really saying how close to the boundary out on the water they were.
The “war-police action” has never ended, and if the Chinese stay out of it this time, quite a different issue. That’s why we’re working on getting our primary trading partner to step in and whack the little nut in the head.
Well said 1 day ago Bruce………………..This weekend should be about remembering, honoring and memorializing all who paid the ultimate price for our right to argue about what is and what should never have been…………….
Or more accurately, paid the price to push American influence around the world and control dwindling resources for the benefit of those who wish not to risk paying the ultimate price.
Honor the troops by bringing them home from fighting stupid, expensive wars that does nothing but escalate global conflict and wreck economies, and give them a chance to experience and live a normal life.
I understood that North Korea openly admitted to doing it; then after they found out that they’d have to pay for all damages and restitution to the families of the deceased, they changed their tune and are playing innocent now.
What happened to all the unfortunate people who had their feet bound……. causing members of their family to be blacklisted in their society?
ARE THESE THE FORGOTTEN?
@ Michigander - where did you find a North Korean admission? With their control on the media, what is said outside is pretty much what the regime wants said outside.

Give me a break Doc. The Korean War is not that forgotten. Unfortunately, our support for the S. Korean dictatorship during the Cold War often is.
