No one is Peter Sellers… including (late in his life) Peter Sellers. I’m not sure that’s a bad thing. Sellers was very troubled psychologically, and often lost himself in the roles he played to the point where, when he said on The Muppet Show that there was no Peter Sellers, he was very close to speaking the truth.
