And then you have me, the Honeybee Lifeguard. I’ve encountered honeybees drowning in my hometown’s municipal swimming pool, and rescued 5, 3 of them survived for sure. One, was too little too late. The other, I don’t know whether it recovered. BTW, I don’t rescue yellow-jackets. They are not bees, and will be left to drown.

On the other hand, why worry about cleaning debris from a kiddy pool when you can just pour the water in the garden and fill it again with clean, fresh water? the garden will thank you for it.
