The annual Scotland and Lower Croatia Parade is this Saturday, Everyone is practicing his or her part. Cecilia is going to have to really buckle down, Last year the sounds coming out of her bagpipe resembled someone who ate at Montoya’s Restaurant and had the “Bean Feast”Arthur can’t keep his feet in sync and the Piper in front of him requested shin guards.
The Young Men’s Club will be marching led by our very own Fireman, front and center!Bev has been camped out on the sidewalk since last Tuesday so that she will have a front row view.
Well. I’ll say this for the denizens of Ballard Street. They certainly are a musical lot, and devoted to their many and varied cultural pursuits. Block parties must be a hoot, so to speak.
I was supposed to have my galleon The Irish Rover at the festivities in Guayaquil today marking the 480 yr. anniversary of that city but 20ld talked me into taking part in the Scotland and Lower Croatia Parade tomorrow on Ballard Street – even though I’m Northern Irish ! I never pass up an opportunity to wear my kilt ( especially, in hot weather ) so I shall don the appropriate family clan tartan and proudly participate int the patriotic parade of pipers and pirates.

I asked three times for the owner to go stop the honking alarm. Finally I went in the lobby announcing the wrecker is enroute to TOW that danged car. Four people got up to go check.The honking mysteriously stopped.
