Back in the early 70’s when the FCC was still issuing CB licenses, my ID was KNY1710. Those were the days. That was my wireless device back then!

Had a 5 watt booster on my CB, yeah it was not legal, but the range was almost as good as a mobile phone nowadays.

My 1980 Sedan de Ville had a CB radio built into the AM/FM radio and included an 8-track player. The power antenna was special for use with the CB…

Isn’t it interesting that, in this day when virtually every job description of a certain type includes mandatory “multi-tasking” and NO ONE would DARE say they can’t (even though there is no true multi-tasking, only micro prioritization), the majority of people who phone and drive positively cannot do both AND, interestingly, opt for giving their attention to self-involved conversation over the potentially life-and-death issue of driving?

My dad’s was KNJ 2384 back in Texas (we then moved to Virginia and he never used it again). That was more than 50 years ago and I STILL remember it!
