uh maybe.i am not sure that at that time in our ‘enlightened’ society that it would have made any difference.now that we are truly ‘enlightened’ and much more knowledgeable about whatever it is we are knowledgeable about it works.probably saying that they were leaving too big a carbon footprint would have worked then, but maybe not either.too much depends on the ‘when’ and not the ‘why’
Personally I found the show cretinous but today it fits in better than even in its original time.A friend of mine who lives in Calif. has toured the junkyard where all the Chargers they broke were dumped. The show singlehandedly helped make the model scarcer whilst making it more desirable.

What’s really silly about this is pulling a show that showed how stupid the “Boss Hoggs”, and their crews in the South were/ are.
