Feeling true guilt involves taking responsibility. I think they are on a fear trip rather than a guilt one. They may be used to dangerous over-reactions to errors and therefore frightened silly of what such a huge error might cause. A person has to wonder how unsafe their home life might be. They need to have someone who will help them find constructive solutions, and they need to learn how to accept responsibility and make amends.

Violence is wrong, but I do kinda wanna see a bigger kid dressed like Robin beat up the brothers. What? You expected Batman? That’s not his role.
