The white flag of surrender can offend someone much to my surprise.

Isn’t that nice? They’re holding the only southern flag that mattered.

All the young men (those who survived long enough) who saw the flag erected on Mount Suribachi several days after landing on Iwo Jima, found hope, inspiration and pride at that moment. Is our current state of affairs the country they fought for?

Yup, the treasonous battle flag of the confederacy is wrong because it “insults” others. Uh huh. I agree. Slavery is insulting. Old glory on the other hand, stands for freedom. Now there’s a choice. The symbol of freedom, vs. the symbol of slavery.

The KKK is rallying to save the “stars and bars” in SC. God bless ’em. Their demonstration quite perfectly illustrates why the battle flag must be retired from public display.

This cartoon is not so much a left versus right or north versus south thing, but rather a warning about how this whole PC attitude is leading us to a whitewashed bland future where basic rights of thought, speech and so have been obliterated.

So Lisa wants to fly her Confederate flag for the 4th of July. Not very patriotic Lisa, why don’t you support America? Maybe you’re just waiting for the south to rise again?

I tonk Lisa is portraying the sad truth, that we now have to be aware of our speech, actions and thughts that could offend someone. So much for free ideas and the right to agree to disagree.BYW, no point in replying to me. I never go back in to read later posts. I have more important things to do such as read and work in m garden.

IMO Lisa is celebrating the 2015 Fourth of July Independence Day with Uncle Sam and the 50-state U.S. Flag!-The pony-tail guy IMO is the leftover 60’s Rebel, the woman seems to be a Snob Elite, and the child is being brainwashed to join the eviscerated Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts. They all have BLANK FLAGS to show the condition of their brainpans….information & facts & history goes in one ear and cyclones out the other ear.-Happy 4th, to all who still appreciate our Founders and the Free Enterprise Liberty government they established, that all the Blank Flags are helping destroy.

A friend whose parents arrived from Italy was complaining about folks wearing T-shirts with Mexican and American flags, the next day he was wearing his T with “Proud to be Italian American”, with the flags of both countries. I just pointed out the Italian flag is just the Mexican flag with the eagle shot off.

Sometimes there are indeed potential mixed messages from flags, and flag waivers!

Democrats surrendering to ISIS or Iran or both. Just start wearing your burka’s now.You have got to be a burka importer/salesman the way you keep pushing everyone to wear them.

Lisa is still in mourning after the governor of South Carolina announced plans to take down the Flag of Treason.

She puts the Stars and Stripes on the save level as that treasonous rag.

God Bless America. We are a strong, proud nation. Continually growing and learning. We will come out better, more united, even stronger. It is a shame Lisa Benson and many others only see weakness and fear where there is strength and pride. I proudly wave the American flag. I will teach the Confederate flag to my students next year, its role in history, as something to be learned from, but something that has also passed its place in our culture. It served its purpose, now it is time to move on. Perhaps a little more united, certainly stronger.
