If Alix gets married, is her husband going to allow shorts too?

I hope Gramma or Auntie can sit Alix down, have a serious, sober talk and tell her how it is going to be. This is not HER show! She can’t be that bull headed to not understand! My 4 favorite words…It’s Just Not Possible. Solve most problems!

I see Grandma as having solved the problem and as much as Alix loves and respects her grandma, she WILL do as she’s told and just grumble about it. I love how you see Alix and Holly reflecting their mom and aunt and grandmother without seeing how alike they are to the others….well done. Its why I have loved this comic since discovering it years ago (well after it showed up in newspapers!!)

Why can’t there be a compromise. I think one of the most ingenious weddings I’ve been to had the bridesmaids (one has a prosthetic leg) in pantsuits, the flower girls too. Basically the only dress was the wedding gown. Those flower girls were adorable.

Holly is going to have a blast shopping and wearing a pretty cool dress, poor Alix.

I don’t see any problem with letting Alix wear shorts under a dress, especially if the shorts are tight and doesn’t bulge out too much. Just make sure the skirt of the dress poofs out some and no-one will notice.

Oh yeah! I love the idea Evie!!

Time for another round of Alix’s lack of fashion sense vs Holly’s obsessive fashion sense.

Can you really put “fashion” and “sense” into the same sentence?

Here in Singapore, it’s really common for us to wear short shorts under our dresses too! :)

My “tomboy” daughter had a gorgeous, strapless white gown with a train. Underneath she wore black biker boots! Completely in tune with her personality.

Some great comments here today. Common denominator…Things will be OK!
