I sense a scene from the movie “Summer School.” The couch caught fire, somebody threw the fish tank on it while Jon was getting dressed. Now he needs the belt to keep his pants up, the fish bowl to put his fish in before it dies and a fire extinguisher to put out the couch. Simple.

you might have a point there. I dare suggest that was Garfield who threw the fishbowl. And so that fish would be very unlikely to need a new fish tank…

My comment yesterday was not meant as a criticism of Joe. I enjoy many of his comments even if I don’t agree with them. Please do not try to drag me into this. Thank you.

I’m sure there would be a moral to learn here but the idea of what it could be is to scary to contemplate!

Oh, Mr Doty is capable of making interesting, funny and/or informative posts on occasion. Unfortunately, he is also capable of making posts that would have been best left un-posted… and takes the least criticism as a personal attack… and he frequently complains about others doing things that he does himself.

Because I am aware that he has suffered from head trauma and has a resulting disability, I try to make allowances, but the nature of some of his posts make that very difficult.

That explains a few things Maizing. As much as I have left him alone, he has come after my comments, denying their truth and then restating them with my own implied meaning. In other words, he’ll say that’s wrong, and then say the same thing I said. I just shake my head and say “Whaaaat?”

But I am not mean to him, and neither is he mean to me. I believe he is just trying to join in with people in his own way, even though we sometimes find the way he does it to be abrasive. Hey, I’m seen as abrasive too, so I overlook it. Some people are very mean, and then I will stick up for Joe Allen Doty, because he has the right to speak his piece here about the comics too.

This needs to be a Garfield Minus Garfield.
