We all love the Colonel and his factory…. but how many tines does the Senator from Kentucky think he can put the bite on the taxpayers?

He thinks Congress should just fork it over… but the honey-spoon is over…the gravy train has stopped….there is no more sympathy in our breasts.

Okay… okay …. I’ll stop…. you can let out those thighs of relief now.

Most senators are rich and were born with silver sporks in their mouths (some with silver feet, of course).

Godfreydaniel: The House is almost as bad. When Sam Rayburn died in 1963, his estate consisted of a small family farm, a house that started out four rooms on top of four rooms and enlarged as finances permitted, and $25,000 in the bank. The most common statement heard from tours is, “My grandmother had one of those.” All speakers since him have either become millionaires or, if already one, multimillionaires.

MissScarlet: Biden was never Speaker of the House. The President of the Senate is a much less powerful job. I could refer to Jack Garner’s estimation of the Vice Presidency, but there is some controversy about whether is was p or h in his comparison to warm s..it. Besides, after Truman became president without any clue as to the atomic bomb or policy, he made sure the Veep was in on all briefings.
