If you can’t run in them*, they shouldn’t be on your feet.(*if your body is capable of running, of course)I’m waiting for the collision of formal fashion and “toe shoes”.

Who’s forcing women to wear heels?Maybe, just maybe those that wear them like the way they look? Or like the attention they draw from men?Jen I think you have your 5 pairs of Birckenstocks in a bunch over nothing.

I’m sorry but straight men are not driving women to wear high heels.

I think smart women only wear high heels if they want to…. not because someone else dictates it. There are plenty of flat footwear for women that look appropriately formal. I think a woman should (like a man) choose to wear what they wish in terms of defining their “formality”.

I don’t know, NG49. I would agree with you that it seems highly foolish to wear any high heel. But, if a person wants to because they like the look or the style of whatever…. then I see no problem with them doing so.

“So they wear them. Women should figure out that it is better to have comfortable shoes and healthy feet then let men pressure them to wear them.”The only people I know who own shoes with higher than a 1/2 inch heal are drag queens.

The Chinese developed ‘foot-binding’ in the 11th century [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foot_binding], c’mon Jen, couldn’t find an original idea?
