I did not see any reason the officer could not have simply talked to the participants and calmed them down. Nobody was threatening him until he stated pushing the young lady around. It is Serve and Protect not Swear and Shoot.

Police chief summed it up when the guy quit: “He was out of control when he got there”.And I don’t ever expect to see cops on the scene controlling other cops, wherever they do.

Isn’t this type of police action why the NRA and gun groups call for all citizens to be armed. To protect them from others and an out of control government employee? Isn’t this the type of thug Hannity and others are against? (yet Hannity was for the officer and against the citizens)

people are judging the event on seeing only 7 mins of a I hr event. I watched the CNN report that talked to other witnesses (they were black too) and most of them said that the teens swarmed the private pool party which was open to all residents of the complex (blacks and whites included)When this group of outsiders tried to crash the party and security guards tried to get them to leave. They grew more belligerent and the police came . They youths refused to follow the polices orders to leave and it whent down hill from there,

Watch the video carefully and see the two male youths actions that caused the lone officer to react as he did. they appear to rush the officer at his side. What was their intent? To pull the officer down and off their friend? not good idea

Jase99: Update: Casebolt has resigned. McKinney police have abandoned their investigation into the matter. Casebolt is free to join any other police department in the nation with an unblemished record. Previous complaints are not on his official record either. Such is standard police procedure in the US today.

^Sorry, this cop was totally out of control when he arrived. He will be at another PD and only if there is ever another incident will this video be shown to the new jurisdiction. He will have to change his name and appearance.
