They might have the new “As-Seen-On-TV” Penny-Sensor® SafetyPlus device installed in their RV….

When it senses a Penny, a Penny relative, such as a Darwin, or a Penny associate, such as a Shemp, within 200 miles, it beeps, first softly, but at increasing volume for the next 50 miles..

If the vehicle has not turned back by then, it wil be automatically slowed for 15 minutes, to give the driver time to get off the road. Then the wheels will be locked until a call is placed to 1-800-BAD-PENNY, for an “unlock code”, which will free the vehicle…. for 20 minutes or until it has reversed direction.

Call 1-800-BAD-PENNY to order yours… Better safe than sorry.

OK, how do you get off and drive around them? A Texas exit, maybe? Usually that’ll get you at ticket at least or even arrested. And here lately, shot.Paco, I have to agree. I’ve been behind an RV in Colorado trying unsuccessfully to get over a 12,000 foot pass. Wasn’t pretty, and took a long time to turn around. Guy’s wife was pissed!Today’s the day! Married 52 years. Minimal gunfire.

Do you ever put a sticker on your vehicle from the state you live in? Usually just the ones you visit!

A good many of our non-toll roads are posted for 65 MPH and are also limited access four lane highways.

living in Illinois I know why. Budget blown on investigating all the crooked politicians so no money for road repairs or even basic upkeep.

I’m probably one of the few humans on the planet that is in favor of toll roads. the perfect example of a user fee. If I don’t use them I don’t fund them. most people here in Illinois want to see them eliminated. the only thing that will do is cause the gas tax to increase for everyone.

In the Chicago area, the Toll roads were built using land that was empty or that had properties on it that could be bought for next to nothing. In most cases, there are arterial roads running right alongside them, so you can take those roads to the same place without paying tolls. However, those side roads are slow, full of potholes, and the traffic signals on them are timed purposely so that you get stuck at every one of them. 50 years ago, the thieves of Crook County, IL stated that “the tollways would be paid for soon, and then they wouldn’t have to collect tolls any more”. What a crock of horse waste.
