I love how both sides are against big government but only when it attacks their pet causes. Btw I think women should do with their bodies what they want. I also think we need more people put to death

Well, that cartoon is just wrong. The label on the Republican should say ‘small government’, because Republicans are the party of small government.

And all Republicans/Fox “news” viewers ‘know’ this to be ‘true’.

The GOP is really good at telling other people what to do. They don’t want democracy, they just want to be in charge. Clearly a woman should be able to make her own decision. The problem with the death penalty is two fold, first you sometimes kill an innocent person, second it has become so expensive with all the lawyers and protesters that it is actually much more expensive than locking them up for the rest of their lives. I think locking them up may actually be a more severe punishment.

The Pro-Life GOP (and not all are Pro-Life) get the command from God’s Law in the Bible.

-Men may not judge killing the most helpless human being in the womb, but God’s Judgment is scheduled for every human in the future.-Without conviction of serious crimes, God does not authorize the death penalty. War is a defense killing, and is authorized as a necessary governing duty. Murder is killing without lawful authorization that fits God’s Law: Exodus 20:13 using the Hebrew word ratsach, instead of a word for justified killing.(ratsach means MURDER, a sin in God’s Law.)-Many of the national problems of the USA in 2015 may well be God’s expression of Warning to repent and to change our behavior=outlaw abortion.-The GOP nowhere has the goal of ending “democracy”; that is the job some Democrats have chosen to do, transform Liberty and Free Enterprise into a socialist collective with government telling everyone to obey laws covering every aspect of cradle to grave decisions.

@disgustedamericanI see. So the two biblical laws that are still enforce is to not be gay and to not get an abortion. Everyone is free to ignore the rest of it. Thanks for clearing that up.

I didn’t see anywhere in disgustedamerican’s post where he said that " everyone is free to ignore the rest of it". I think maybe you misread his post.

@disgustedamericanWar is a defense killing, and is authorized as a necessary governing duty. War can also be offensive."You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. (NIV, Matthew 5:38-45)The apostle Paul and other New testament writers echoed Jesus’ sentiment and expanded on it.Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men. Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him, and if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. (NAS, Romans 12:17-21)that is the job some Democrats have chosen to do, transform Liberty and Free Enterprise into a socialist collectiveOpinion, not supported by fact in my opinion. It is not like religion, including Christianity, is not a socialist collective that oppresses Liberty and Free Enterprise. All religious governments that have exited have been very oppressive “telling everyone to obey laws covering every aspect of cradle to grave decisions.” There are no religions that are democracies. If evangelical Christians were elected and controlled the US government, I doubt they would democracy, Liberty or Free Enterprise but would apply heavy restrictions.

people are saying its her body to do with as she wants, but if she decides to keep the baby the same people will tell her not to smoke, do drugs because of the baby, what its not her body to decide about anymore. as far as I’m concerned women who wish to abort the baby, can do so. As they are probably not able to raise a child due to their personal beliefs in their own abilities. but don’t sugar coat it with the sanitized word abort or terminate.Say the truth . Its ending a life simple fact. You are going to have to kill the baby to Terminate the Pregnancy. I hope these women do find peace in their decisions I know its not an easy choice..

I can’t comprehend how anyone that’s ever held a newborn baby, or seen how little and innocent they are, could even allow or think nothing of the horror of what the act of aborting them out of the womb is! Don’t give me the BS of being viable out of the womb. I know a boy who is now TEN years old that is alive now that was pre-mature at 20 weeks and was 13oz. Sure he needed medical help, but he’s ALIVE, and doing well. And he had everything at that stage to exist out of the womb. Medical ability can be used to save these preemies, but they use their medical ability instead to savagely rip them to pieces to abort them. Just because you CAN or are ALLOWED to kill your unborn still doesn’t make it morally right! The difference between life and death for it can be a matter of a few weeks? Incomprehensible! Women considering this barbarism should have to hold a newborn and see it sleeping in her arms before she carries out the legal murder!

Just because you CAN or are ALLOWED to kill your unborn still doesn’t make it morally right! You can not legislate morality. Nor can you impose your morality onto others. People have to come to their own choices no matter how repugnant they are to you. At a certain point a fetus is not viable out of the wound no and beyond medical ability. Making abortion illegal only moves it out medical clinics.Morally people should be putting their efforts into preventing unwanted pregnancies in the first place. This means beyond abstinence only. Real sex education. It is morally bankrupt to save a fetus in the womb but not once it is a child and force it on others. Morality is a consistent choice.

“God” terminates roughly 50% of all fertile embryos. Anencephaly is tragic, as are many other fatal anomolies, and genetic fatal flaws are found in several ethnic groups, ask a Jewish mother about Tey Sachs (sp), where early testing and termination of the pregnancy SAVES lives, emotionally, and physically in the case of pregnancies that can also kill the mother. Some of that latter is also part of that early detection we can now do.

Abortion is a very bad form of birth control, but a lack of education, or even “mistakes” or “failure” of contraceptive efforts can lead to unexepected, and unaffordable (not just economically) pregnancies. It should remain the choice of the mother (breeder to some religious/political nuts), not the state, where folks totally ignorant or resentful of all science will make the decisions for her.

Hiram Bingham said, about 9 hours ago @disgustedamerican: “God” says NOTHING against abortion anywhere in the Bible. Indeed, He recommends it.“Happy those who seize your children and smash them against a rock.” (Psalm 137:9)(end Hiram’s post)-@Hiram, you just proved you have no idea how to read the Bible. Hint= God’s Law is clearly written and identified as “God’s Law” earlier than the Book of Psalms.Your quote is not “God’s Law” but is the song and prayer of Jews held in the Babylonian Captivity, suffering from mistreatment, and wanting God to avenge them by retaliation on Babylonians who harmed Jews.-That cannot be in a sane person’s mind a verse advocating abortion. In fact, God supports punishing whoever causes the death of an unborn child. -P.S. All of God’s Laws are in force now and forever. In the Millennium Kingdom where Jesus rules earth from the restored Throne of David in Jerusalem, God’s Law Rules earth. In Eternity, God’s Law Rules the Universe.(deal with it, and expect God’s punishment for mocking it.)

the scripture reference for my statement that God supports punishing whoever causes the death of an unborn child is Exodus 21: 22-23 and punishment is if the child doesn’t die and if the child dies, it is death for the death.-God’s Law is eternal.God had a special set of more than 600 laws for the Hebrew nation of Israel, but that was because God entrusted them with writing His scriptures and maintaining them. That complicated set of laws was a “teacher” to prove that no human could perfectly obey all of God’s Law. -Moses’ Law, so-called, was not required by God for humans during the Church Age. Some form of Moses’ Law will be required during the Millennium, The Feast of Tabernacles will be observed by all living humans. -@Painter….you quote Jesus and the Apostles on personal morality. I could quote to you for civil morality from Romans chapter 13, where it gives God’s authorization for civil government and for defensive wars and for a legal system of accusation, trial and conviction and sentencing for crimes of evildoers. Please be more relevant on subject.-I am sick and tired of seeing certain people claim “you cannot legislate morality”….duh! Every law against theft, murder, and many other immoral acts already is “legislating for morality”….As the Bible proved, Posting Law does not change the “heart” or the moral, spiritual part of a human, but it certainly aids the possibility of a more stable culture!- We are viewing the consequences of 6 years of our scofflaw, anti-police regime, in the current anti-police campaign that has caused more murders, more riots and property destruction and unsafe streets and the lowest morale of police departments across the country! Enforcing Posted Law is the solution, IMO.
