It’s a lesson in cause and effect.

At least Sakura Kinomoto of manga/anime “Cardcaptor Sakura” wears elbow, wrist, AND knee pads when she roller skates.

Try asking Peppermint Patti or Marci, they’d be more likely to answer without decking you. Or belittling you. Or saying how much they like that their sweet baboo is asking them something.

Wonder what Fredia would say. Probably be too absorbed with her hair.

Starting a conversation with “What I don’t understand is…” is about like starting with “You know what your problem is?” It doesn’t endear you.

Sidewalks are made of concrete, not cement.

I used to skate in the road, with my old metal clamp-ons. The asphalt tickled my feet through those skates. The BEST sidewalk to skate on in the neighborhood, was a gray slate one down the street. Smoooooth, baby!

Oh yeah, good luck finding that kind of safety gear in 1969.

Many years ago Andy Capp was removed from the Winnipeg Free Press for that very reason. He was always slugging his wife. Newspaper said they were getting complaints about it.

Girls don’t always want to be girls anymore; of course, some boys don’t want to be boys either…

kids learn through the pecking order. When they don’t and are always seperated, one day someone will pick up an equalizer and then really hurt the enemy. The “pecking order” assures some stability and sooner or later they learn that no one ever wins in a fight, some just don’t get hurt as much as the other. That is called “growing up”. While many never do, most do and those are the people that we do not want using weapons because they never learned any lessons.Learning to fight is natural and all mammals do it.

Plus, it’s kinda hard to roller skate on grass.

Easy answer: Skates only work well on concrete, and the girl is wearing a dress because her parents essentially forced her to. Little girls should wear long pants only when roller skating.

Ever notice Lucy only got to wear pants in the winter strips? In Schulz’s world, girls had to wear dresses on all warm-weather days, no matter how impractical.
