I had a college graduate ask for jumper cables. When I asked if his car (which was about the size of a grapefruit) was a standard, and he said yes, why? He then did not believe me that it could be push started. As small as it was it could almost be leaned-against started. Ahh, the things that amaze these days.

If he’s dumping out good food just to get the empty cans, I gotta agree with the kid’s assessment.

I remember having to push start one of our cars daily! My husband used to park it so it would be in position to be pushed!

I used to drive a Plymouth Champ. The rear wheels had a ring on them that went over a hook in the undercarriage. Whenever they put it on the lift, they had to rehook the wheels just before it touched the ground. The timing belt broke just across the street from my service station, and the two mechanics picked it up and ran it across the street.
