Uh. just a note on history: Adolph Hitler was also raised and remained, Roman Cathollic, not “atheist” as often claimed. Most of the NAZI faithful were also practicing Christians of different stipes.

The issue is that those Jew, Christian, or Muslim, who wrap themselves most tightly in their religious flags, are too tightly wound themselves to actually follow those faiths. Creating your own club to batter humanity with from your “religious perspective” is certainly nothing new, even predating all “modern” religions.
