I wonder if Mark Pett is a comics fan. The woman in this strip looks a lot like Georgia Sivana, daughter of Dr. Thaddeus Bodog Sivana, greatest foe of the original Captain Marvel.
Just looked at her again, and she also looks similar to a younger Mrs. Bleating-Hart from a mid-1940s Little Orphan Annie strip, but smilier (in a good way).
