The water shortage problem in “California” goes back to the day of Junipero Serra. The ignorance of misuse really took off with the invasion of miners in the 1840’s, when hydraulic placer mining not only wasted the water, but destroyed the river ecosystems, and surrounding lands, with destruction and spoils.
It’s interesting that while their more intelligent relatives remained in Europe, and saw the need to properly manage the lands for future generations, the greedier morons kept burning and plowing their way across the continent, always going over the next hill to destroy new areas, until they were out of new areas.

Yet Californians I know have been fined for years if their water usage is too high.

Tell Nestle to conserve. Or better yet don’t drink water from places the citizens have usage limits unless it comes out of your tap!

California is better run than almost any other state. There is money in poking fun at it.
