Never see it from NPR. I love the “Tax funds are a tiny part of our budget.” on one day and the next its “Without support from Congress we will be bankrupt.” Has PBS ever heard of the internet?

The trouble with supporting the art through public funding is that everybody has their own idea of what constitutes “art”. Some congressmen go all ballistic the minute something shows upon PBS that they don’t approve of.

A single tax dollar spent on NPR, PBS, NEA, ect. is $1 too much!

I’m always amazed at Public Broadcasting bashers. I guess some people can’t loathe enough. What a ridiculous target, though. Funny thing is, none of them seem to actually watch or listen or they would not be so hateful, dense, and short sighted. Will Ziggy ever make people feel good again or is he just an instigator of the nasty in the world -like a little Rush Limbaugh?

I can appreciate public radio and television, and have supported both through contributions and of course, through my tax dollars.

What I don’t appreciate is almost invariably, when a high interest program is broadcast, it turns into nothing more than a fund raiser for the station or network!

As far as I’m concerned, they might just as well turn public broadcasting into commercial broadcasting and sell advertising just like every other station does…
