110% correct Mr. Morin, which is what the Republican budget will give all the 1% as a tax “refund”, oh,wait, that budget will give them about a 300 percent “refund”. The Kochs should get only about a 2,300 percent on their investement in the party.

Facts are for the little people. Clearly, CG thinks that declaring allegiance to the GOK will get them to toss him a little crumb, down the line, instead of being tossed like a used tissue. It’s not the wrongest thing he’s believed.

Ok kiddos:30% federal income tax, 10% state income tax another 10% sales tax on everything you buy, 5-10% property tax…..And I haven’t even got to capital gains tax, Obamacare tax, inheritance tax, gas tax, alcohol tax, cigarette tax, unhealthy food tax(coming soon), hotel tax, airport tax.Tell me again that half my paycheck doesn’t go to some kind of tax.

Just drove to town on a paved road (federal highway actually) mailed a letter, bought some drugs that the research was done for in a government funded lab, and watched as an F-15 flew over, right beside a commercial airliner, that danged government and those taxes are just ruining this nation!!

well said dtroutma. As always you just hit the nail on the head! Society comes from the same word as socialism, and it isn’t a bad word.At it’s best it is all people working for the good of all people. That’s why we HAVE roads, post offices, and there are not too many elderly abandoned to the streets. The republicans are bowing to the men who bow to their god—-Money.

Wise Orator: seen similar, and wrote one of them myself some 25 years ago.

Kennedy also said a good line current Republican thinking denies in spades: “Ask now what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” Odd that while “conservatives” complain about “liberals”, they don’t give a damn about doing anything for the country, only their corporate masters, and themselves.

Surprised you’d quote JFK who would be thrown out of the SpendoCrat party today and would be a a Republican. Here’s his wisdom for you…….“This administration pledged itself last summer to an across-the-board, top-to-bottom cut in personal and corporate income taxes to be enacted and become effective in 1963. I am not talking about a quickie or a temporary tax cut which would be more appropriate if a recession were imminent. Nor am I talking about giving the economy a mere shot in the arm to ease some temporary complaint. The federal government’s most useful role is not to rush into a program of excessive increases in public expenditures, but to expand the incentives and opportunities of private expenditures. When consumers purchase more goods, plants use more of their capacity, men are hired instead of laid off, investment increases, and profits are high. Corporate tax rates must also be cut to increase incentives and the availability of investment capital. The government has already taken major steps this year to reduce business tax liability and to stimulate the modernization of our productive plant and equipment.”Source: Speech at the New York Economic Club, New York City , Dec 14, 1962
