Just have someone from the local charity take ‘em away. Or hold a “closed box” auction where people bid on and buy the box without seeing what’s inside. If you’ve lived without the contents for this long, you don’t need it.
My dad died in 1999 and my mom in 2011 – I still haven’t finished going through the boxes. At least we’ve gotten rid of all the kids’ stuff!
