    There’s testing to see what you know, and then there’s never-ending, high stakes testing that stops any chance of actual learning but satisfies politicians who can claim they’re fixing education.

    There is testing for what you know, pretesting for what you don’t know and needs emphasis in the lesson plan, and $25+ per head standardized tests for sucking money out of school budgets.
